About This Course

This course serves as a survey of the typical topics covered in an introductory high-school level mechanics class. A more detailed list of topics is provided below, but the topics closely resemble those found in AP Physics 1 or AP Physics C: Mechanics. They are taught at the late middle school or early high school level; no prior knowledge is explicitly assumed, and a review of all of the necessary mathematics will be provided, but familiarity with the basic techniques of algebra, at the very least, is strongly recommended. The instructor of this course will be Brianna Zheng. Brianna Zheng graduated from BASIS Independent Silicon Valley and is a rising sophomore at Princeton University, studying physics. She has taken all of the AP Physics exams offered and received Honorable Mention on the USA Physics Olympiad.
