About This Course
This course serves as a survey of the typical topics covered in an introductory high-school level Microeconomics and Macroeconomics class. A more detailed list of topics is provided below, but the topics closely resemble those found in the AP Microeconomics and Macroeconomics curriculum. This class is usually taught at the late high school level; no prior knowledge is explicitly assumed. Familiarity with basic Algebra is strongly recommended. The instructor of this course will be Ivan Zhang. Ivan Zhang is a rising sophomore at UC Berkeley, intending to study Molecular and Cell Biology and Economics. He earned scores of 5 on both AP Economics exams, led the Economics Club, and captained his high school's economics competition teams. Brianna Zheng will be the teaching assistant of this course. She graduated from Basis Independent School Silicon Valley and is an incoming freshman at Princeton University, planning to study Physics. She earned scores of 5 on both AP Economics exams, led the Economics Club, and received multiple honors in physics, math, and economics competitions.

About Ivan
Ivan Zhang graduated from BASIS Independent Silicon Valley and is a student at University of California, Berkeley double majoring in Molecular and Cell Biology and Business Administration through the Robinson Life Science, Business, and Entrepreneurship (LSBE) program. In high school, he completed Honors Biology and Honors Chemistry while self-studying AP Biology and AP Chemistry. Ivan also led the Biology and Economics clubs and organized a Biology Bowl for middle school students.

Brianna Zheng graduated from BASIS Independent Silicon Valley and is a student at Princeton University. She has taken all of the physics APs, receiving 5s on AP Physics 1, AP Physics 2, and AP Physics C: Mechanics and AP Physics C: Electricity and Magnetism. She received an Honorable Mention at the United States Physics Olympiad. She hopes to share the beauty of physics and its connection to everyday occurrences with others.
